Important Message from Walton County Emergency Management

On October 27, 2026, President Trump approved a Major Disaster Declaration (FEMA-4955-DR) for Florida following Hurricane Isaias.

Walton County is approved for Public Assistance (PA) to support eligible emergency response and recovery costs, including repairs to disaster-damaged public facilities.

Individual Assistance (IA) for residents and households is still under review.

Hazard Mitigation assistance is also under review.

Additional assistance programs and county designations may be approved as damage assessments continue.

Residents are encouraged to continue following Walton County Emergency Management’s official communication channels for updates regarding federal assistance and recovery resources.
