FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY ANNOUNCES 2026 TAKE BACK FLORIDA NOVEMBER SLATE

Tallahassee, FL – Today, the Florida Democratic Party is spotlighting the 45 candidates who make up its 2026 Take Back Florida November slate. Each candidate was selected through a rigorous application and vetting process to join one of three core party programs: Defend Our Dems, Take Back Florida Distinction, and Take Back Local.

Since the programs launched in 2024, candidates have received sustained grassroots organizing and fundraising support from the party, support that will continue through the November elections.

“These 45 candidates represent the strength and depth of our bench,” said Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried. “They’re proven leaders, first-time candidates, veterans, and community advocates who understand that trust is earned by showing up and doing the work. From protecting the incumbents who have consistently fought for their constituents, to backing new candidates ready to flip red seats blue, to building power in school board and city commission races that shape our communities every day, this slate reflects what it takes to win.

“They’re knocking doors, making calls, and talking directly with voters about the issues that impact their lives. With the right investment and support, we’re going to break the superminority, take back our school boards, and put an end to decades of corruption and failed Republican leadership.”
