Representative Abbott’s Washington County Town Hall Meeting: Proposed Property Tax Amendment

WASHINGTON COUNTY, FL. - Representative Shane Abbott will be hosting a public town hall meeting located at the Washington County Board of County Commissioners’ Office on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 6:00 PM CST. Washington County residents who are interested in learning more about the proposed property tax amendment that will appear on the November ballot are encouraged to attend.

Residents will have an opportunity to learn how the proposed amendment could potentially affect their community, organizations, and local services. Local officials from both county and cities have been invited to share information to discuss both positive and negative impacts this may have for citizens while also answering questions.

Representative Abbott will aid in moderating discussions, insuring respectful, informative conversation while also assisting with questions from the audience. Washington County residents are encouraged to attend.
